Product Description and Materials

A Han Dynasty Chinese Terracotta Stick Figure

A female figure of elongated form, with hair tied to the back and a serene expression. This figure is of the type found in Yangling for Emperor Jingdi of Western Han dynasty. The figure would once have had arms of wood, and clothing made of textiles, which have not survived. The Mausoleum was constructed near Xi'an, Shannxi province, in central eastern China, which during the Zhou, Qin, Western Han, and Tang dynasties was the eastern end of the Silk Road and home to their ruling houses.
